It’s time to talk about abortion. And as a straight white male, I feel the most qualified. I’m pro-choice, so if you already know nothing’s gonna change your mind, better skip this article. It would be a waste of your time. My base line is that I have no right to make decisions about procedures I know nothing about and can never experience. Men may have a say, but women need to design the rules. Men don’t get more than that until something makes them obliged to share the consequences of a baby. Tears of a Spoon
I’m a big fan of The Spoony One, an Internet producer/reviewer in the same vein as That Guy With the Glasses. Personally, I like him better, entertainment-wise, than Doug Walker. The Nostalgia Critic has more of the screwball Daffy Duck slapstick, but Spoony has more of the clever, cynical wit I appreciate. Recently, he just finished his compilation of the Ultima video games, started two years ago in 2010 (which is an eternity in online video). Why Do I Want to Get Published
Rachelle Gardner brought up an interesting question that I want to answer–why do I want to get published? You must understand there is a difference between “why do I write?” and “why do I try to get my writing published?” I wouldn’t be wasting my time with the montony of submissions, keeping track of magazines, and engineering my prose to be publishable if I wanted to just write. Movies came and went, but their they stayed, thrusting thumbs in various directions as in the gladitorial battles of old.
