Must Work Harder
Since I signed up for NerdCon, I’ve stopped proceeding on my princess fan fiction. I think I was burning out on it anyway — I’d already written a novel’s worth of text and still had a lot to go. Plus, I need to be productive. Real author’s finish things, and I’ve had a hankering to see some finished work. Or at least to the point I can open the door. For the first time, I backed something in Kickstarter — Storium. It’s kinda like playing Dungeons & Dragons without the math and battles and dice. I heard about it from Wil Wheaton, and signed up for its e-mail list. But I didn’t hear anything until their Kickstarter started. And I decided, for the first time, “Yes, I will contribute to this. Yeah, I was listening to Radio Free Burrito today, and The Wil Wheaton mentioned one of his stories from Ficlets (a story that I wrote an addendum to and he particularly liked, I might add). Mr. Wheaton and Mr. Critters
One thing I forgot to mention last time is the Ficlets experience I had last week. I logged in one night and found that the mighty Wil Wheaton had the featured story, his first one. Naturally, I couldn’t miss this opportunity to pay homage to one of my favorite bloggers and all-around good guy.
